Mississippi Export’s Rail can now reach beyond its right-of-way.

In October of 2009, the Mississippi Export Railroad broke ground on its bulk handling warehouse.  The facility, designed by Clarke, Geer, Latham, and Assoc. of Mobile, AL, was built to accommodate a range of commodities or possibly house a packaging operation. Having a footprint close to 48,000 sq feet, the warehouse has an 8,000 sq foot loading dock (392’x20′) and an enclosed area close to 40,000 sq feet.  Gaillard Builders was awarded the task of creating one of the Gulf Coasts’ newest rail-served distribution buildings.  Whether it is stripping or loading shipping containers or LTL, this facility was setup to accommodate all needs.  With the ability to spot 8 railcars per switch and 12 truck doors, it is designed to swing material in a hurry. Plus, its vicinity to Interstate 10 and Highway 63 allow trucks to generate commerce and not idle at stop lights and traffic jams.  Give our team a call. We think that we can now provide rail access to everyone in South Mississippi and Alabama.

Direction to Warehouse:

From I-10, go North on Hwy 63 to first red light. Take Right at light onto Saracennia Road. Cross RR tracks 2 times, take next right into the Helena Industrial Complex.  Cross RR tracks and continue to warehouse on left.
